Yes, the datacenter is in Brazil. Latency from São Paulo is around 5 ms, and from the rest of the country between 15 ms and 40 ms depending on the region. For applications that need to serve users in North America or Europe, latency will be 120 ms to 200 ms — in that case, a CDN or a provider with a datacenter in those regions is worth considering.
Yes, there is no traffic allowance and we do not charge for overage. The connection is 1 Gbps shared (not a dedicated 1 Gbps port). Under normal use you can sustain peaks of hundreds of Mbps. If your case requires sustained bandwidth close to 1 Gbps for long periods, get in touch so we can look at a dedicated solution.
It is a real-time pattern analysis system that identifies malicious traffic (volumetric attacks such as UDP flood, SYN flood, DNS amplification) and drops those packets before they reach your server. Mitigation is automatic and needs no configuration. It protects against layer 3 and 4 attacks. For layer 7 protection (HTTP attacks), we recommend using Cloudflare or similar alongside it.
Yes. Every VPS comes with 1 dedicated IPv4 address and IPv6 support (a /64 block). You can configure rDNS (a PTR record) for the IPv4 from the panel, which is required for mail servers. Additional IPs can be purchased separately if needed.
Yes, every VPS plan includes automatic backup. The backup is stored separately from the production server. Note: the backup copies the entire VPS disk, so restore time depends on its size. For a VPS running critical applications, we also recommend keeping your own backup inside the server (a database dump via cron, for example).
Yes. The available options include Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux and CentOS Stream. Installation happens automatically at deploy time. If you need a distribution that is not on the list, get in touch — depending on the case, we may be able to provide a custom image.
Yes, a plan upgrade can be done from the panel. The new resources become available after the VPS restarts, which takes about 1 to 2 minutes. Billing is pro rata for the remaining period of the cycle. Downgrading is also possible, as long as current disk usage fits within the smaller plan — otherwise you need to reduce the data first.
We offer the main Linux distributions: Ubuntu (LTS), Debian, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux and CentOS Stream. We do not provide Windows Server. If you need a specific distro that is not in the panel (such as Arch Linux or FreeBSD), get in touch so we can check feasibility. Installing custom ISOs is not standard but can be assessed case by case. After installation you have full root access and can install any package available in the distribution repositories.
